How do I... Convert a spreadsheet into a wiki table

STEP ACTION
1 Firstly, you need to login to this wiki, and your username needs to have permission as a DnD? ? player (if you dont already have that permission, contact David or Shez).
2 Go to the session in the above list that you want to write your journal entry for (the latest one will be the last in the list above).
3 Click on edit.
4 If there is already a heading for your character, then write your journal entry under that.
5 To make your own heading, you can copy another heading, paste it to where you want it, and then change the character name (which is usually in three places) to your character name.
6 Or if you want to make your own heading the hard way, there are two ways you can do it :-
  • In WYSIWIG mode (the standard edit mode), you can copy another heading and paste it to the pull down the style drop-box that saysNormaland change it by selectingHeading 3. (You might want to press Enter before that, so that you are starting your heading on a new line.) If you are keen, you can also use the anchor icon (just left of the paper clip, on the same line as the style drop-box) to add a label with your characters name. Or David is happy to add the anchor in later when he notices, so you dont need to do it yourself.
  • In Wiki Edit mode (press the icon that looks like a pick-axe, next to theHTMLicon) you can see the mark-up translated into text characters (like ----+++ for a heading 3). You can still copy and paste another heading and change the character name. Some people find it easier in Wiki mode, because they can see (and change) the formatting codes. You can get back to WYSIWIG edit mode by clicking the WYSIWIG button (below Edit Help).
7 When you press Enter at the end of the heading, it will automatically go back to Normal style.
8 Type in the text of your journal entry under the heading.
9 If you are very keen, you can make a link to your journal entry by going to the XP table at the top of the page for this session and change your character name Name to Name. But David is more than happy to link to an anchor in your heading later.

To add your own character page, an easy way is to go to the AdventurerParty? page, where you will find a question mark after your character's name. Make sure the character name is spelt correctly (use Edit to change it if its not). Then click on the question mark (which will go red when you put your mouse over it), and a new page will be created for your character.
